NEW ORLEANS (September 15, 2026) – The Allstate Sugar Bowl has announced this week's Manning Award Futures, recognizing four local high school quarterbacks who turned in outstanding performances during play on September 11-12 of the high school football season.

The recognition is called "Futures" because these high school stars are potential future candidates for the Manning Award, which the Allstate Sugar Bowl created in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning and which recognizes the top collegiate quarterback in the nation each year.
Since the Future's inception in 2020, the Sugar Bowl has recognized 133 quarterbacks from 58 different high schools.

Manning Award Futures – High School QBs of the Week, 9/14/26
Krew Collura, Mandeville (12-of-19, 233 pass yds, 5 TDs)
Collura finished 12 of 19 for 233 yards and five touchdowns with a 2-point conversion in Mandeville's 78-21 win over Bonnabel. Collura hit Dylan Henry with a 10-yard touchdown pass. Collura hit Crishaun McCollum with a 69-yard touchdown pass to make it 32-14. Collura then hit Luke Demelo with a 42-yard touchdown pass and completed the first half scoring with a seven-yard touchdown pass to Jack Lejeune with two seconds left in the first half.

Hudson Fields, Brother Martin (8-of-11, 169 pass yards, 3TDs)
Fields completed 8 of 11 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-16 win over St. Paul's. Fields hit Micah Irons with a 10-yard touchdown pass on the game's opening drive to give Brother Martin a 7-0 lead. After a field goal by the Wolves, on the first play of the second quarter, Fields connected with Benjamin Dumontier on a 59-yard touchdown strike to extend the advantage to 21-3.

Jack Grace, Country Day (37-of-46, 576 pass yards, 9 TDs)
Grace completed 37 of 46 passes for 576 yards and set an LHSAA state record with nine touchdowns as Country Day doubled up The Willow School, 70-35. The nine scoring throws eclipsed the mark of eight held by Evangel's Dez Duron in 2008 and Peyton Houston, equaled in 2024. Grace threw four scoring passes in the first quarter as Country Day broke to a 28-7 lead.

Ricky Williams, Slidell (7-of-11, 257 pass yds, 4 TDs)
Williams finished 7 of 11 for 257 yards and four touchdowns with an interception and also ran two times for 50 yards in a 49-38 win over Lakeshore. Williams hit his brother Peanut Williams with a 69-yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 28-7 and also connected with Mike Thompson on a 23-yard touchdown pass to make it 35-7 at halftime. He also connected with his sibling again with a 70-yard touchdown to give Slidell a 42-14 lead by the end of the third quarter.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl has established itself as one of the premier college football bowl games, having hosted 29 national champions, 114 Hall of Fame players, 55 Hall of Fame coaches and 21 Heisman Trophy winners over its 92-year history.

The 93rd Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic, serving as a College Football Playoff Semifinal, will be played on January 15, 2027.
