NEW ORLEANS (Oct. 6, 2026) – Four area quarterbacks have been named Manning Futures honorees for Week 5 of the high school season after standout performances that included a combined 13 total touchdowns.
Dorrien Dunham of John F. Kennedy High School highlighted last week's performance by tossing three touchdowns in a 42-40 win over Salmen and Covington's Matthew O'Keefe accounted for five touchdowns in a win over Fontainebleau.

The recognition is called "Futures" because these high school stars are potential future candidates for the Manning Award, which the Allstate Sugar Bowl created in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. The award recognizes the nation's top collegiate quarterback each year.
Since the Futures program began in 2020, the Sugar Bowl has recognized 140 quarterbacks from 59 different high schools.
