NEW ORLEANS (September 8, 2026) – The Allstate Sugar Bowl has announced this week's Manning Award Futures, recognizing four local high school quarterbacks who turned in outstanding performances on the field this past weekend.

The recognition is called "Futures" because these high school stars are potential future candidates for the Manning Award, which the Allstate Sugar Bowl created in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning and which recognizes the top collegiate quarterback in the nation each year.
Since the Future's inception in 2020, the Sugar Bowl has recognized 128 quarterbacks from 57 different high schools.

Manning Award Futures – High School QBs of the Week, 9/8/26
Ren Guidry, Newman (18-of-32, 230 yards, 5 TDs)
Guidry completed 18 of 32 passes for 230 yards and five touchdowns as Newman edged St. John's (Houston, TX), 33-32.

Colton Nussmeier, Archbishop Rummel (19-of-35, 307 pass yds, 53 rush yds, 3 TDs)
Nussmeier completed 19 of 35 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns and added 53 rushing yards and a score on the ground in a 34-28 win at University Lab. He connected with Nathaniel Singleton on a 28-yard touchdown with 30 seconds remaining to cap a thrilling rally for the Raiders.

Sully Sullivan, Jesuit (15-of-21 (71%), 277 yards, 3 TDs)
Sullivan completed 15 of 21 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-20 win over Madison Prep. With the game tied at 14 to start the fourth quarter, Sullivan lofted a deep ball down the far sideline to a wide-open Mestayer, who caught it in stride and raced 71 yards for the score that gave the Blue Jays the lead for good.

Breez Wilson, Chalmette (7-of-9, 114 pass yds, 108 rush yds, 5 TDs)
Wilson completed 7 of 9 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns and rushed 10 times for 108 yards and three more scores in a 55-14 win over John Ehret.
