NEW ORLEANS (Oct. 2, 2026): The Allstate Sugar Bowl is shining a light on New Orleans-area athletes who are excelling at the collegiate level through its New Orleans Athlete Spotlight, presented by LCMC Health. All fall long, the series will highlight local standouts who are making their mark on college campuses nationwide.
At Belhaven University, a New Orleans native has been a fixture at the net for four seasons. Academy of the Sacred Heart graduate Cami Davis is now in her senior year with the Blazers.

Davis wasted no time making an impact. As a freshman in 2023, she played in 31 matches and 101 sets and led the entire Blazers roster with 54 blocks. She also chipped in 78 kills, 34 digs, and five assists, proving early that she could contribute on both offense and defense.
She built on that foundation as a sophomore in 2024, appearing in all 29 of Belhaven's matches and playing 97 sets. Davis increased her kill total to 98 while remaining a force defensively with 49 blocks, adding 25 digs and five assists.
Her junior season in 2025 was the best of her career. Davis played in all 33 matches and took 301 attacks, converting them into a career-high 106 kills. She added 51 blocks and 42 digs for her most complete season to date.
Through 14 matches of her senior season in 2026, Davis has already recorded 49 kills.
Over four seasons, Davis has appeared in 107 matches, totaling more than 330 kills and more than 150 blocks.
