NEW ORLEANS (November 6, 2025) – This year's Allstate Sugar Bowl (Thursday, January 1) will serve as a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal for the second straight season. This season will mark the sixth that the Sugar Bowl has doubled as a College Football Playoff game, last year's Playoff Quarterfinal as well as four Playoff Semifinals since 2015.
A limited number of tickets remain available for this year's College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl Committee encourages fans looking to purchase tickets to visit
Ticketmaster as the official verified resale platform for the game.
Fans are reminded that this year's Allstate Sugar Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Central, an hour earlier than past years.
The field of 12 teams for the College Football Playoff will be comprised of the five conference champions ranked highest by the CFP Selection Committee, plus the seven highest-ranked at-large teams. The top four seeds will receive a first-round bye. The other eight teams will play in the first round with the higher seeds hosting the lower seeds either on campus or at other sites designated by the higher-seeded institution.
The 2025-26 postseason bracket will be released by the selection committee on Sunday, December 7 on ESPN.

Allstate Sugar Bowl New Year's Parade and the
NewOrleans.com Allstate Sugar Bowl Tailgate Town hosted by New Orleans & Company. The New Year's Parade is a Mardi Gras-style parade with floats, bands and other participants that is sure to entertain fans of all ages on the afternoon of December 31 in the French Quarter. Tailgate Town, located in Champions Square on the campus of the legendary Superdome, is the official pregame festival of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The bands and cheerleaders of the participating schools are scheduled to make appearances at both events.
