NEW ORLEANS (August 30, 2025) – A limited number of tickets for the 2026 College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl (Thursday, January 1, 7 p.m., Caesars Superdome) are available to the general public on Saturday, August 30 at 10 a.m. CT. Fans can purchase tickets via
Ticketmaster.
Fans are reminded that this year's Allstate Sugar Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Central, an hour earlier than past years.
"We're pleased about the earlier kickoff time for the next Allstate Sugar Bowl," said Jeff Hundley, the chief executive officer of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. "This will be great for fans around the country. Those attending the game will have more time to celebrate afterward, and fans watching at home will be more likely to stay with us to the very end. We appreciate ESPN's efforts in making this happen."
This year marks the second year of the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff (CFP) format. This year's Allstate Sugar Bowl, the 92nd annual event, will serve as a Playoff Quarterfinal for the second straight year.
The field of 12 teams for the College Football Playoff will be comprised of the five conference champions ranked highest by the CFP Selection Committee, plus the seven highest-ranked at-large teams. The top four seeds will receive a first-round bye. The other eight teams will play in the first round with the higher seeds hosting the lower seeds either on campus or at other sites designated by the higher-seeded institution.
The 2025-26 postseason bracket will be released by the selection committee on Sunday, December 7 on ESPN.

Other activities during the week of the Allstate Sugar Bowl will include the Allstate Sugar Bowl New Year's Eve Parade and the NewOrleans.com Allstate Sugar Bowl Tailgate Town hosted by New Orleans & Company. The New Year's Eve Parade is a Mardi Gras-style parade with floats, bands and other participants that is sure to entertain fans of all ages on the afternoon of December 31 in the French Quarter. Located in Champions Square on the campus of the legendary Superdome, Tailgate Town is the official pregame festival of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. The bands and cheerleaders of the participating schools are scheduled to make appearances at both events.
