Louisiana’s Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff Policies & Procedures

Details for September 2 Event Headlined by Garth Brooks at the Caesars Superdome

NEW ORLEANS (August 28, 2023) – The inaugural Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff presented by the Louisiana Office of Tourism will take place on Saturday, September 2, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Garth Brooks will headline the inaugural event, with opening acts including Louisiana's own Lainey Wilson and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The event is expected to be an annual Labor Day weekend affair, adding another world-class musical occasion to the New Orleans calendar.
 
Limited tickets for the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff are on sale now via Ticketmaster. All tickets for the event are $98.95. Tickets are currently available online and will be sold at Superdome box offices on event day (beginning at 12 Noon at Gate A Ground).
 
The Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff will feature a full day of activities as events begin at 12 Noon with NewOrleans.com Tailgate Town hosted by New Orleans & Company. Programming begins at 12:30 p.m. NewOrleans.com Tailgate Town (free admission) will feature many football-themed activations as well as performances by Austin Bishop, Alex Smith, and DJ Jevity to entertain fans of all ages as a lead-in to the main event inside the Superdome.
 
Superdome gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band scheduled to take the stage at 7 p.m.

Full Policies

Parking:

Parking in the Superdome garages for the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is $50 upon entry, on a first come, first served basis. Credit and debit cards are accepted; no cash. The garages will open at 9 a.m. Pre-paid parking for the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is available via Park Whiz.
 
Mobile Tickets:
The Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff will feature 100% mobile tickets and parking passes. Your mobile tickets and/or parking passes can be downloaded to your phone, or transferred to your guests, by logging into your Ticketmaster account via the Sugar Bowl mobile app.
 
You will need to present your ticket(s) on a mobile phone in order to gain entry to Caesars Superdome. When ready to enter the stadium, proceed to the gate listed on your mobile ticket. Please have your tickets open and ready to scan prior to approaching any entrance. Each ticket can be scanned individually, or you may present all of your group's tickets on one mobile phone. Once you have had your ticket scanned to access the Superdome, you will not be able to exit the building and re-enter. 
 
ADA Seating:
ADA seating is available through Ticketmaster. If you have regular seating and find that you need to exchange for accessible seating, please visit Guest Services after your tickets are scanned. Do Not Resell Tickets:
DO NOT attempt to resell tickets outside the show – the buying or selling of tickets anywhere within 300 feet of Caesars Superdome property is unlawful and violators are subject to arrest. Fans looking to buy tickets can use Ticketmaster.
 
Entry Procedures:
Fans should only enter the Superdome at the gate listed on their mobile tickets. All individuals entering the Caesars Superdome are subject to an inspection of all personal belongings and required to pass through walk-through metal detectors. Bags that do not adhere to the specifications in the Clear Bag Policy below, in addition to the usual non-permissible items (see Non-Permissible Items below) will NOT be permitted in the Dome.

Clear Bag Policy:
We strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but outlined below is what is permissible.  Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching the queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:
  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of hand and no larger than 6.5" x 4.5" with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
  • Non-clear Diaper bags are prohibited. A clear diaper bag (no larger than 12" wide x 12" height x 6" deep) is permitted. Each member of a family, including children, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium.
Cashless Operations:
The Caesars Superdome is a cashless operation. All purchases (concessions, merchandise, parking, etc.) must be made with credit or debit cards. Guest Services desks located on the 100, 200 and 500 levels at Gates A, C and G can handle a conversion of cash to a Visa gift card if needed. There are NO ATMs in the building. Visa Cards are sold in $25 and $50 denominations and can be used at ANY point-of-sale location in the building including merchandise. Any remaining balance on the debit card can be used at locations where debit payments are accepted.
