Moore, a freshman golfer at Oklahoma State, was a co-winner of the Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month for October of 1980. A De La Salle graduate, Moore was honored for his victory in the first Junior Wold Cup golf competition at St. Andrews, Scotland.
