Jayson Sanders - May 1990 Athlete of the Month
Track & Field, Warren Easton High School

Sanders, a track star at Warren Easton, was named the Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month for May of 1990. He won the 100 meters in 10.52 and the 200 in 21.16 at the LHSAA Championships. The runner-up was Johnny Curtis, who hit .550 in four playoff games for John Curtis High School.
