Tulane sophomore outfield Bryan Brown was named the Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month for March of 1990. Brown, who was Tulane's leading hitter with a .328 average, batted .403 in March with five homers and 16 RBI. He also had a 1-1 pitching record during March. Brown was named Collegiate Baseball's National Co_player of the Week for the week ending March 11. He went 17-for-24 with four home runs and nine RBI and also defeated Virginia Tech as a pitcher during the week.
