Boudreaux, back-to-back state champion wrestler for Rummel, was selected as the Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month for February of 1996. Boudreaux finished the season 36-0 in the 112-pound division and won his second consecutive state championship. He was selected as the MVP of the New Orleans Wrestling Coaches Association All-Metro team.
