William “Bill” Martinez was a four-sport letterman at Warren Easton High School starting in 1934. As a senior Martinez earned all-state honors while playing both offense and defense for the Eagles’ undefeated football team.
In addition to his football success, he held the state discuss championship and won numerous AAU swimming medals.
He was a two-sport letterman at Loyola University.
Martinez was born in 1916 in Galveston, Texas.
