CFP Quarterfinal Sugar Bowl

Superdome Media Layout (PDF) - 1/1/25 Sugar Bowl

Frequency Coordination
All media outlets that indicated (when applying for credentials) they would be using any sort of wireless transmission devices during their coverage of the Allstate Sugar Bowl should have received an emailed form to fill out with your equipment details. In addition to filling out that form, all media outlets using any sort of wireless devices MUST register their devices with the Allstate Sugar Bowl frequency coordinator (located at the Northwest Tunnel to the field) on game day. If you have questions regarding frequency information, please contact Tim Landry at timlandry2012@charter.net or 985-966-1125.

Pregame Stand-Ups
The Southwest corner of the Superdome field will be available for stand-ups until 7 p.m. (Central) on game day. Postgame live shots are not allowed until the end of the game (0:00 on the clock). Access to the Superdome for live shots earlier in the day is possible by requesting in advance. Please understand that bands will be practicing throughout the day and it may not be a good option due to the noise.

If you would like to purchase an Ethernet line to the pregame stand-ups location, contact Superdome IT Services at ITservices@asmneworleans.com by Friday, Dec. 20. Rates start at $300. Please copy John Sudsbury
(johns@sugarbowl.org) on all requests.

Live Shots Via Live-U/TV-U Packs
Please clear any use of TV-U or LIVE-U packs in ADVANCE with our frequency coordinator. If you would like to rent a dedicated Ethernet line at field level for LIVE-U, please contact IT Services (ITServices@asmneworleans.com) and cc John Sudsbury (johns@sugarbowl.org) by Friday, Dec. 20. Rates start at $300.

Local Cameras on Sidelines
College Football Playoff policy does not allow for any local cameras on the sideline during the Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl. There will be an ESPN game feed available in the press conference warehouse. Television personnel without assigned seats in the press box can use the Media Work Room on the ground level to work during the game. Full crews will be allowed to return to the field at the end of the game (0:00 on the clock) for live reports.

No Access to Playing Surface
Only a limited number of photographers will be allowed access to the actual playing surface during the postgame celebrations (must have gold vest). Other photographers/media members are NOT allowed on the actual playing surface at any time. This means that when the game is over, photographers, camera operators and media members shall NOT run onto the field to shoot/film/document the celebrations. All of that must be done from the sidelines.

Any violations of these rules may result in immediate and future sanctions for both the individuals and agencies they represent.

Press Conference Feed – Head Coach Conference, Dec. 31, and Postgame
Audio and video from the head coaches press conference on December 31 and from the main postgame press conference is ONLY available from our official feed. Please make sure you have the proper equipment and cables to receive this feed. Composite video is via BNC, and audio (mic or line level) is via XLR. If you are capturing our feed to a personal computer, you will need adapters to connect your capture device (Canopus, Elgato, Etc.) to the mult. Generally, the capture devices use RCA connectors as inputs – Thus, for video, you will need BNC to RCA male, and for audio, you will need XLR female to RCA male. Recording on a VCR or camera will require BNC to the input on the device, generally BNC, and XLR female to the input on the device, generally XLR male. SDI/HD video with embedded audio is via BNC. You will have the ability to pull a separate audio feed via XLR if needed. For further information, please contact Ray Garofalo (Ray@TheProlineGroup.com).

Media Day Television Coverage
Television stations should use their own individual cameras for all media day interviews. We will have a feed available for the head coach interview. Player interviews should be recorded directly by the reporters/camera operators.

Postgame
The following guidelines have been established by the College Football Playoff to be followed for the media events of the Allstate Sugar Bowl:
There will be a 10-minute cooling off period for the runner-up team before the head coach and two players appear at the post-game press conference. The winning team will be entitled to a 20-minute cooling off period before its representatives are brought to the designated media areas. The winning team's cooling off period will begin after the conclusion of the trophy presentation.

POSTGAME FIELD INTERVIEWS ARE NOT ALLOWED.

Postgame Press Conference
There will be ONE postgame press conference warehouse on the ground level. The runner-up coach and two players will be available on the stage first, followed by the winning coach and two players. We will feed this primary postgame press conference to the television monitors in the main press box.

No Cameras in Locker Rooms
While the locker rooms will be open to media for 20 minutes following a cooling off period, photography and videography will not be permitted in the locker room after the game. This includes photography and videography with cameras, phones, tablets and any other video recording devices. No live transmission of video, social streaming or live audio from the locker room will be permitted during the open locker room session.

Breakout Interview Areas
Each team will have its own designated area near its locker room for postgame breakout interviews. We will bring a minimum of four top players (this will NOT include the players brought to the main press conference) into this area for postgame on-camera interviews. This occurs at the same time as the main press conference and the open locker room window.

Paperless Press Box
We will not be distributing stats, play-by-plays, quotes or game books in the press box. All information will be emailed to credentialed media when available. We will also have a live stats link available for media on game day.

Parking at the Caesars Superdome
We have limited parking for satellite trucks at the Superdome. Please contact John Sudsbury (johns@sugarbowl.org, 504-427-7076) IMMEDIATELY about reserving a space and payment for your spot. Payment must be made in advance of arrival. This lot is not cabled to the field.

Live Shots Via Satellite Truck
The satellite truck parking lot is not cabled to the field. If you need to have cabled connectivity between your truck and the live shot, you will need to plan to do your live shots from outside the Superdome.

Out-of-Town
We have a media portal which will have video from all of our press conferences (not the full press conference, usually 5-10 minutes) as well as other materials. Contact John Sudsbury (johns@sugarbowl.org) for information on accessing the portal. We recommend you request access as early as possible as there is an application process.

Possible Live Shots/Stand-ups/New Orleans stories
We will attempt to help with locations for possible live shots and stand-ups during the week. Mary Beth Romig (mbromig@neworleans.com, 504-566-5019) with New Orleans & Company may also be able to assist with potential locations, as well as with possible story ideas relating to the city.

Game Day Media Meal
The media meal will be served in the Crown Royal Signature Club (Gate G) on the ground level of the Superdome from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Halftime snacks will be provided in the main press box as well as in the Media Work Room on ground level.

Live Satellite Feed
The postgame press conferences for the Allstate Sugar Bowl will be available via High Definition live satellite feed.
