NOLA SPOTLIGHT: Bremond Leads Millsaps Offensive Attack

NEW ORLEANS (Oct. 30, 2026) - The Allstate Sugar Bowl is shining a light on New Orleans-area athletes who are excelling at the collegiate level through its New Orleans Athlete Spotlight, presented by Allstate. All fall long, the series highlights local standouts who are making their mark on college campuses nationwide.

A Slidell native, Alex Bremond has continued to make an impact on the soccer field at Millsaps College, where she has emerged as one of the top offensive threats.

Bremond leads the team in scoring during the 2026 season, recording two goals and three assists while appearing in all 13 games. Her production follows a standout 2025 campaign in which she earned All-Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Second Team honors as a midfielder.

During her junior season, Bremond started all 17 games and tied for seventh in the SAA with seven goals, the most on the Millsaps roster. She also tied for the team lead with three assists and recorded 13 shots on goal.

One of her most memorable performances came Sept. 24, when she scored three goals and totaled seven points in a 13-0 victory over Tougaloo College. She also delivered two assists in a 3-1 win over Huntingdon College on Sept. 3.

Bremond enjoyed another productive season in 2024, leading Millsaps with six goals and six assists while appearing in all 18 games and making 15 starts. She recorded 37 shots, including 20 on goal, and scored three goals in a 12-0 victory over Tougaloo.

Before joining the Majors, Bremond attended Pope John Paul II Catholic High School in Slidell, where she earned five letters in soccer and four in tennis. A team captain as a senior, she was named her district's Offensive MVP twice and earned all-district recognition three times. She also was selected to the Louisiana High School Coaches Association Girls West All-Star Team and the St. Tammany Farmer All-Parish Girls Soccer Team as a junior and senior. Her high school team captured four consecutive district championships.

Off the field, Bremond is majoring in biology at Millsaps. She has earned President's List recognition and was named to the Dean's List.
