Allstate Sugar Bowl Announces First Manning Award Futures for 2025

Manning Futures, 9-9-25NEW ORLEANS (September 9, 2025) – The Allstate Sugar Bowl has announced this week's Manning Award Futures – four local high school quarterbacks who turned in outstanding performances on the football field this past weekend.
 
The recognition is entitled "Futures" as these high school stars are potential future candidates for the Manning Award, which recognizes the top collegiate quarterback in the nation on an annual basis. It was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.
 
The Sugar Bowl has had the opportunity to recognize 103 quarterbacks from 50 different high schools since the honor's inception in 2020.
 
Manning Award Futures – High School QBs of the Week, 9/9/25:
 
Ben Hendricks, Mandeville (11-of-16, 345 total yards, 2 TDs)
Hendricks ran for 226 yards and a score while passing for 123 yards and another TD as the Skippers pulled away for a 38-25 win over Salmen at Sidney Theriot Stadium on Friday.
 
Brayden Hutchinson, Pearl River (9-of-11, 264 total yards)
Hutchinson, who ran for 177 yards on 13 carries and threw for 87 more yards, led the Rebels to a 30-20 road win over St. Martin's Episcopal on Friday.
 
Ricky Williams, Slidell (12-of-22, 253 total yards, 3 TDs)
Williams connected on a 33-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 14 early in the third quarter and then scored on a nine-yard run to lift the Tigers to a 30-22 comeback win over Lutcher on Friday at L.V. McGinty Sr. Stadium.
 
Vaushaun Coulon, St. Augustine (13-of-16, 218 total yards, 4 TDs)
Coulon had already thrown for three touchdowns when he scored on a 16-yard run with under a minute to go in the first half as he led the Purple Knights to a dominant 56-6 victory over McDonogh 35 on Saturday at Tad Gormley Stadium.
