NewOrleans.com Allstate Sugar Bowl Tailgate Town hosted by New Orleans & Company, the official pre-game party. Gates open at 3 p.m. for Tailgate Town while the Allstate Sugar Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m.
Fans must have a Sugar Bowl game ticket to access Tailgate Town.
Georgia, from the Southeastern Conference, will be featured in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in the Caesars Superdome. The Bulldogs will face the winner of the College Football Playoff First-Round Game between Ole Miss and Tulane (Saturday, Dec. 20, 2:30 CT, TNT). The Allstate Sugar Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. (Central) and will be televised by ESPN.
Tailgate Town, which is open from 3-6 p.m., will feature food, drinks, interactive games, and lots of entertainment. The band and cheerleaders from each school will perform – The Redcoat Band from Georgia is often referred to as the "Heart of the Bulldog Spirit" while the Tulane Marching Band is Tulane's most visible and celebrated ensemble and The Pride of the South from Ole Miss celebrates its largest marching band since its creation in 1928.
Superdome doors are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. for this highly anticipated playoff matchup. Please note that the Superdome has a no re-entry policy, and entry into Tailgate Town constitutes entry into the Superdome.
Realcycle, a leader in the New Orleans recycling community, will join the Sugar Bowl and the Bowl's sustainability program sponsors, Dr Pepper and Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, in providing recycling for food waste, aluminum, glass, plastic, and cardboard products at Tailgate Town.
Georgia (12-1, 7-1 SEC) earned the No. 3 seed from the College Football Playoff Selection Committee following its 28-7 victory over Alabama in Saturday's SEC Championship game. The Bulldogs will be the 97th conference champion to play in the Sugar Bowl in its 92-year history. Georgia will be making its 13th Sugar Bowl appearance, including its fourth in the last eight years.
No. 6 Ole Miss and No. 11 Tulane are both making their College Football Playoff debuts. Ole Miss (11-1, 7-1 SEC) posted the program's first-ever 11-win regular season this year – the Rebels are looking to make their 11th trip to the Sugar Bowl and their first since the 2021 season. Tulane (11-2, 7-1 American), meanwhile, is looking to make its first trip to the Sugar Bowl since the 1939 season when the Green Wave fell to national champion Texas A&M, 14-13. It would be the third overall trip for the Green Wave, including a 20-14 victory over Temple in the inaugural Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, 1935.
