
NEW ORLEANS (November 18, 2025) – The Allstate Sugar Bowl has announced this week's
Manning Award Futures – four local high school quarterbacks who turned in outstanding performances on the football field this past weekend.
The recognition is entitled "Futures" as these high school stars are potential future candidates for the
Manning Award, which recognizes the top collegiate quarterback in the nation on an annual basis. It was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.
The Sugar Bowl has had the opportunity to recognize 123 quarterbacks from 56 different high schools since the honor's inception in 2020.
Manning Award Futures – High School QBs of the Week, 11/18/25:
Krew Collura, Mandeville (18-of-23, 405 total yards, 6 TDs)
Collura, who passed for 348 yards and five touchdowns while running for 50 more yards and a score, helped the Skippers overcome an early deficit as they posted a 48-27 Division I nonselect first-round playoff victory over Thibodaux.
Landen Teague, Hahnville (12-of-21, 232 total yards, 5 TDs)
Teague, who delivered a 42-yard touchdown pass on the first drive of the game and then ran for a six-yard score on the second, led the Tigers to a 52-39 win over Slidell in a Division I nonselect first-round playoff game.
Alericq Valentine, De La Salle (11-of-15, 116 yards, 3 TDs)
Valentine, who threw for a pair of first-half touchdowns then added a third in the third quarter, helped the Cavaliers race to 32 first-half points as they cruised to a 45-14 Division III select first round playoff victory in a Friday night road game.
Hudson Wright, Country Day (18-of-27, 316 yards, 6 TDs)
Wright, who passed for 270 yards and five touchdowns in the first half alone, led the Cajuns to a 56-15 rout of Beekman in a Division III select first-round playoff game on Friday at Freedom Field.
The
Allstate Sugar Bowl has established itself as one of the premier college football bowl games, having hosted 29 national champions, 110 Hall of Fame players, 55 Hall of Fame coaches and 21 Heisman Trophy winners in its 91-year history. The 92nd Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic, which will double as a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal, is scheduled to be played on January 1, 2026. In addition to football, the Sugar Bowl Committee annually invests over $1 million into the community through the hosting and sponsorship of sporting events, awards, scholarships and clinics. Through these efforts, the organization supports and honors thousands of student-athletes each year, while injecting over $2.5 billion into the local economy in the last decade.
