Manning Award Futures – four local high school quarterbacks who turned in outstanding performances on the football field this past weekend. Fans now have the opportunity to go to Twitter (

The
Manning Award, which recognizes the top collegiate quarterback in the nation on an annual basis, was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.
Manning Award Futures – High School QBs of the Week, 11/1/22:
Ayden Authement, St. Charles Catholic (3-of-6, 161 total yards, 3 TDs)
Authement returned to the lineup after missing four games and led the Comets to a 35-14 victory over Country Day.
Royal Falgout, John Ehret (6-of-10, 197 total yards, 3 TDs)
Falgout accounted for 197 of his team's 254 yards of offense as he led the Patriots to their fourth straight District 8-5A win, 22-0 over East Jefferson.
Luke Guidry, Slidell (16-of-22, 239 yards, 2 total TDs)
Guidry led the Tigers to a 35-0 win over Fontainebleau to clinch their first District 6-5A championship since 2019.
Beau Perez, Jesuit (12-of-18, 163 yards, 2 TDs)
Perez accounts for 201 of the Blue Jays 258 yards of offense while delivering the go-ahead 34-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the fourth quarter in a 16-12 District 9-5A victory over archrival Holy Cross.
The Allstate Sugar Bowl has established itself as one of the premier college football bowl games, having hosted 28 national champions, 100 Hall of Fame players, 51 Hall of Fame coaches and 20 Heisman Trophy winners in its 88-year history. The 89th annual Sugar Bowl Classic is scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 31, 2022. In addition to football, the Sugar Bowl Committee annually invests over $1 million into the community through the hosting and sponsorship of sporting events, awards, scholarships and clinics. Through these efforts, the organization supports and honors thousands of student-athletes each year, while injecting over $2.2 billion into the local economy in the last decade.
