Parquet, the senior quarterback for the Archbishop Shaw football team, was named the Sugar Bowl Athlete of the Month for September of 1993. Parquet rushed for 267 yards on 35 carries and scored five touchdowns. He also completed 25-of-43 passes for 537 yards and seven more scores as the Eagles were 4-0 during the month.
