No. 3 Georgia, from the Southeastern Conference, will be featured in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in the Caesars Superdome. The Bulldogs will face the winner of the College Football Playoff First-Round Game between No. 6 Ole Miss and No. 11 Tulane. The Allstate Sugar Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. (Central) and will be televised by ESPN.

This season will mark the sixth time that the Sugar Bowl has doubled as a College Football Playoff game and its second as a Playoff Quarterfinal in the 12-team College Football Playoff. The Sugar Bowl hosted four Playoff Semifinals (2014, 2017, 2020, and 2023 seasons) in the four-team format before hosting a Playoff Quarterfinal last season.

The field of 12 teams is comprised of the five conference champions ranked highest by the selection committee (no minimum ranking requirement), plus the seven highest-ranked other teams. The top four seeds receive a first-round bye. The other eight teams will play in the first round with the higher seeds hosting the lower seeds.
