Sugar Bowl Hosts 70 Volleyball Teams for AAU Regional park
The Allstate Sugar Bowl sponsored the 2014 Girls Volleyball AAU Super Regionals hosted by Louisiana Volleyball on May 31 and June 1 at Loyola University and the Hilton Rivercenter. The event featured 70 teams and over 700 young athletes from seven different states playing multiple matches over the two-day event. It is the fifth year that the Sugar Bowl has sponsored the event.

13-Year Olds: Louisiana Volleyball def. Barracudas, 2-0 (25-19, 25-15)
14-Year Olds: North Alabama Spikers def. Nola Volleyball, 2-0 (25-16, 25-20)
15-Year Olds: Louisiana Volleyball def. Nola Volleyball, 2-0 (25-13, 25-22)
16-Year Olds: West Florida Waves def. CCC Volleyball, 2-0 (25-21, 27-25)
17-Year Olds: Volleyball Baton Rouge def. Crescent City Juniors, 2-0 (25-23, 27-25)
18-Year Olds: Team Sting def. Louisiana Volleyball, 2-0 (25-21, 25-16)
In addition to sponsoring the New Orleans AAU Super Regionals in recent years, the Sugar Bowl also sponsors an annual collegiate volleyball classic hosted by Tulane University and it sponsored the JVA World Challenge in 2010.
The mission of the Allstate Sugar Bowl is to sponsor and promote amateur sporting events which will foster revenue and spark economic growth in the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. Through all of its year-round slate of events, the organization has generated over $2 billion of economic impact for the city and the state in the last decade alone.
