Final Results

The Cardinal came into the tournament ranked No. 1 in the nation, but trailed No. 11 Miami, 287-293 after Sunday’s opening round. With inclement weather in the forecast for Tuesday, tournament officials opted to play 36 holes on Monday and Stanford notched a blistering 278 in the second round before tallying a 293 to close out the event on top with an overall score of 863.

No. 3 Florida was second at 874, followed by No. 20 Oklahoma State (875), No. 23 Arizona (875) and Miami (877). Tulane finished in 15th place in the 17-team field with a 912.

On the individual front, Moore, the No. 7 ranked player in the nation, was below par (72) for all three rounds, notching an opening-day 70, followed by a 71 and a 69 on Monday. She topped Lee, who is ranked No. 2 in the country, by two strokes. Lee’s Cardinal teammate, No. 11 Casey Danielson was tied for third with No. 62 Dewi Weber from Miami with a 213. Clemson’s Alice Hewson, ranked No. 24, rounded out the top five with a 214 (tied with UCF’s 43rd-ranked Ashley Holder).

Tulane’s top finisher was sophomore Laura Munoz, who tied for 10h with a 217 score.

“I’d like to really thank the Allstate Sugar Bowl for allowing us to host this great event,” said head coach Lorne Don. “I also have to thank the English Turn Golf and Country Club for the fantastic job they do for us, not only for this event but during the year. It was an honor to have such a great field. We’re really excited to have Stanford University and Haley Moore as team and individual champions.”

The event featured nine of the top 43 teams in the nation, as well as defending NCAA Champion Washington, which finished in a tie for seventh place.

Stanford is the third Pac-12 school to win the event, joining USC (2011 and 2013) and UCLA (2014).
