Stacey Gaudet, a star forward for Tulane University from 1983-87, was the sixth women's basketball player in NCAA history from Louisiana to score 2,000 or more points and she was also the first player, male or female, in Tulane basketball history to score 2,000 points. She finished her career as the leading scorer in Green Wave history with 2,080 points and was also second all-time at the school in rebounds with 730 and second in assists with 381. She was the first female in Tulane history to score 600 or more points in a single season. Gaudet was ranked in the top 20 nationally for free-throw percentage four consecutive years, closing her career at 81.4 percent, tops all-time at Tulane. A product of C.C. Baptist High School, she was inducted into Tulane's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993.
