Pittsburgh Goes Perfect to Win Allstate Sugar Bowl Volleyball Title park
The University of Pittsburgh won all three of its matches, dropping just three sets, to win the 11th Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Volleyball Classic title at Hertz Center on the Tulane campus. Mississippi State took second place, followed by Sam Houston State and Tulane, the host of the event. Panther stand out Lindsey Zitzke was named MVP after leading her team to the title.

The Sugar Bowl Committee continues to be very active in the New Orleans community by holding fast to its mission of sponsoring and promoting amateur sporting events which foster revenue and spark economic growth for the city and the state. This year the Bowl will support more than 25 events in sports such as volleyball, baseball, basketball, golf, lacrosse, sailing, track and field, soccer and tennis, as well as football. In addition, the Allstate Sugar Bowl sponsors the local chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame as well as the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame.
