Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10K – Virtual
April 1 @ 8:00 am - April 5 @ 11:59 pm
The 2021 Crescent City Classic 10K (April 1-5, 2021) will be a virtual race. A virtual race is a way to experience the fun and excitement of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic in your own backyard! You pick the course & the time, and reach your personal fitness goals. You’ll receive your t-shirt, racing bib, and earn your commemorative finisher medallion. You can even donate to charity!
The Allstate Sugar Bowl, which took over title sponsorship of the Crescent City Classic in 2012, welcomed over 20,000 participants, including some of the elite 10K runners in the world for the 41st running of the race on Saturday, April 20, 2019. This Easter weekend tradition has become a New Orleans signature event, both as a competitive road race and for its festive post-race celebration. The Classic has been praised in every major running publication as “one of America’s fastest 10K’s,” and as “the originator of the post-race festival.”
The Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k road race plans to return to its typical format for the 2022 race, which is scheduled for April 16, the Saturday before Easter Sunday. The Classic is locally produced by a not-for-profit 5013c entity, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, and is a great way to get in shape, while having fun! Both runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to participate in the race.
The Classic is both physically challenging and a great New Orleans tradition! The 10-kilometer course (6.2 miles) begins in Downtown New Orleans in front of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, runs participants through the French Quarter, and then all the way up beautiful Esplanade Avenue to New Orleans City Park.
During Easter weekend, the events surrounding the Crescent City Classic promise a jam-packed weekend. We host a two-day Health & Fitness Expo, which is free and open to the public, as well as throw one of the best post-race parties in road racing hosted by Michelob Ultra, and complete with live music and local creole cuisine.
Visit the Official Crescent City Classic Website for full race details and registration information.
