COVID-19 Policies for the Allstate Sugar Bowl

Full Allstate Sugar Bowl Policies

COVID-19:
We have worked closely with local and state officials and ASM Global, the management team for the Caesars Superdome, to develop a comprehensive health and safety plan, which will continue to be updated below. As of Dec. 29, the below policies remain in effect for the Allstate Sugar Bowl. All policies are subject to change.

Vaccination or Negative Test Required:
The City of New Orleans requires all ticket holders, guests and staff ages 12 or above to either 1) provide proof of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has received full approval or emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization or 2) show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entry.

Presenting Proof of Vaccination/Test:
For entry into the Caesars Superdome:

  • Proof of vaccination. A clear picture of the front and back of the card.
  • Negative PCR or Antigen Test performed within 72 hours of the event. This CANNOT be an at home test. All tests should be from a healthcare professional. The results can be electronic via email. The results must have your name, date of test and a Negative result printed on the healthcare professional document. There are no substitutes for either the vaccine verification or negative test. (COVID treatment DOES NOT count as being immunized)
  • All patrons 12 and older are required to be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID test.

Fans must pass through checkpoints for proof of vaccination/test to enter Tailgate Town in Champions Square, adjacent to the Caesars Superdome.

Masks Are Not Required:
Due to significant improvement in COVID-19 metrics caused by strong vaccination rates and the City of New Orleans’ vaccine/test mandate for entry, the City of New Orleans has suspended the city-wide mask mandate and fans are no longer required to wear a mask.

Hand Sanitizers:
Touch free hand sanitizer locations will be placed throughout the stadium near concession locations, entrances to restrooms, walkways into the seating sections, restrooms and guest services locations.

Concession Updates:
The health and safety of our employees and fans is a priority for the Allstate Sugar Bowl and the Caesars Superdome. The below updates have been made to the concession areas in the Caesars Superdome:

  • Masks and gloves are required for all staff working concession stands and portable locations.
  • A customer facing barrier will be erected to minimized customer/patron interactions.
  • Hand sanitizers will be at every POS location for patron use.

Staff Safety:
To ensure a safe environment for fans, all Sugar Bowl and stadium personnel will follow the below protocols when interacting with fans:

  • Exercise hand hygiene at all times.
  • Attempt to maintain six-feet distance from fans.
  • Be courteous at all times and strive to keep conversations shorts.
  • Do not physically interact with fans.

Fan Health Promise:

All ticketholders must agree that neither they, nor any of their guests, will not attend the game if they have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the game, or, unless they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC), any of the following is true on the game date:

  • Within the prior 14 days, they have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or are subject to a federal or local travel or quarantine advisory due to COVID-19;
  • Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms identified by the CDC) (anyone who is fully vaccinated but experiences any of the above symptoms within 48 hours before the game should nevertheless consult a healthcare provider and get tested for COVID-19 before attending).
  • Please note: According to the CDC, older adults and people of any age with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. All guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend a game.
