Policies for the Allstate Sugar Bowl

Caesars Superdome | January 1, 2022

No. 7 Baylor, from the Big 12 Conference, and No. 8 Ole Miss, from the Southeastern Conference will be featured in the 88th annual Allstate Sugar Bowl on Saturday, January 1, 2022, in the Caesars Superdome. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:45 p.m. (Central) and will be televised by ESPN.

As of Dec. 29, the below policies remain in effect for the Allstate Sugar Bowl. All policies are subject to change. Please revisit this page or follow the Sugar Bowl on social media to keep up-to-date.

Mobile Tickets:
The Allstate Sugar Bowl has shifted to 100% mobile tickets and parking passes. This has created a safer, contactless ticketing experience for our fans. It also allows for increased flexibility and efficiency. Your mobile tickets and/or parking passes can be downloaded to your phone, or transferred to your guests, by logging into your Ticketmaster account via the Sugar Bowl mobile app.

You will need to present your ticket(s) on a mobile phone in order to gain entry to the stadium. Please make sure your tickets are pulled up on your phone prior to entering the health-screening checkpoint. Each ticket can be displayed on an individual phone or all tickets in your group may be presented on one mobile phone.


Gates Open:
Gates are scheduled to open two hours before kickoff (5:30 p.m.). Please take note of the recommended
 entry gate on your ticket. We encourage all guests to take advantage of early doors. Gate A Ground will be exclusive for credentialed staff, media, suites, North End Zone Club and ADA guests.
*PLEASE NOTE: Once inside the Superdome, patrons cannot exit and then re-enter.

Parking:
Superdome Parking Garages 2, 5, 6 and Champions Garage are open & available to the public on a first-come, first served basis beginning at 3:00 p.m. CT on January 1, 2022. The cost is $30 per vehicle (credit and debit accepted; NO CASH).

There is an option to secure parking in advance of game day by purchasing online via the ParkWhiz app or parkwhiz.com.

The height limit for ALL garages is 6’6″. Law enforcement personnel may conduct occasional inspections of vehicles parking near the stadium as they arrive.

Entrances (Superdome Entry Gates):
Gates A, B, C, D, E, F, G & H on the Plaza Level. Gate A Ground will be exclusive for credentialed staff, media
, suites, Mercedes-Benz North End Zone Club and ADA guests.

Ticket Relations:
Sugar Bowl and VIP: Gate A Street Level – Noon until end of halftime
Ole Miss: Gate F Plaza – opens at 5:30 p.m.
Baylor
: Gate D Plaza – opens at 4:30 p.m.
Mobile Ticket Resolution: Plaza Gates B&H – open at 3 p.m.
Guest Services Plaza Gate B – open at 5:30 p.m. and can only be accessed once inside the building

Do Not Resell Tickets:
DO NOT attempt to resell tickets outside the game – the buying or selling of tickets anywhere within 300 feet of Superdome property is unlawful and violators are subject to arrest. Fans looking to buy and sell tickets can use the Official Sugar Bowl Ticket Exchange managed by Ticketmaster.

Entry Procedures:
All individuals entering the Caesars Superdome are subject to an inspection of all personal belongings and required to pass through walk-through metal detectors.  Bags that do not adhere to the specifications in the Clear Bag Policy below, in addition to the usual non-permissible items (see Non-permissible Items below) will NOT be permitted in the Dome.

We strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but outlined below is what is permissible.  Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching the queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.”
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
  • Small clutch bags, approximately the size of hand and no larger than 6.5” x 4.5” with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.

Cashless Operations:
The Caesars Superdome is a cashless operation. All purchases (concessions, merchandise, parking, etc.) must be made with a credit or debit cards. Guest Services desks located on the 100, 200 and 500 levels at Gates A, C and G can handle a conversion of cash to a Visa gift card if needed. There are NO ATMs in the building.


Non-permissable items:

Caesars Superdome management is responsible for enforcing the Allstate Sugar Bowl’s policies in this area. Patrons shall be encouraged to return non-permissible items to their automobiles, when applicable. Security measures will be in effect including walk-through metal detectors and bag checks for all patrons. Only bags noted in the above “Clear Bag Policy” will be admitted.

  • Any other item(s) deemed unacceptable by Venue Management

If any prohibited items are revealed during search, the patron(s) will be permitted to return to their vehicle with the item(s) or they can dispose of the item(s).  The Caesars Superdome will not store any personal belongings or items of any type.


ADA Patrons:
Parking is available in all four Superdome garages on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons in wheelchairs may be dropped off at the ground level of Gate A on Sugar Bowl Drive. If you need to be relocated to ADA seating please visit Guest Relations at Plaza Gate B after you have entered the Superdome.

Alcohol Sales Policy:
Alcohol sales have resumed at Caesars Superdome events. Please remember it is a cashless facility and all purchases must be made with credit or debit cards.

ATMs:
There are NO ATMs in the building.

Lost and Found:
During the event, Lost and Found is located at the Plaza Gate B Guest Relations Center. After the event, fill out the form on the Caesars Superdome website: Superdome Lost and Found.

Baby Changing Stations:
Baby Changing Stations are available in restrooms at the following locations:

Plaza Level: Sections 101, 105, 123, 127, 155
Loge Level: Sections 207, 249
300-Suite Level: Across from Suites 305, 365 and 373
400-Suite Level: Across from Suites 401, 409, 424, 431, 434, 441, 456 and 463
Terrace Level: Sections 504 and 534

These stations also serve as unisex accessible restrooms.

Camera Policy:
No video cameras are allowed. Still photographer lenses cannot exceed six inches.

Children’s Ticket / Entry Policy:
Every individual attending the Allstate Sugar Bowl must have a ticket, regardless of age.

Complaints:
We strive to make sure all fans have a safe and enjoyable environment to watch the game. If a patron wishes to report negative behavior or file a different complaint, please go to a Guest Services kiosk or send a text to 69050 with the keyword NOLA followed by the issue and location.

Displays:

  • Hurricane Katrina Photo Display: Photos of the Superdome during Hurricane Katrina and of the rebuilding and reopening of the Dome are displayed in the lobby at Gate A, 200 Level.
  • Louisiana Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame: Plaques of honored members are displayed in the lobby at Gate C, 200 Level.
  • Louisiana High School Helmet Wall, Gate E, 200 Level.
  • Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame: Plaques for each of the 245 inductees to the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame are on display at gate G on the 200 (club) level.

Drones:
The possession, operation, or use of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) or drone is prohibited on Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property without prior, written permission from management. Furthermore, persons operating a UAS on Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property may be subject to criminal or civil penalties by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Escalators:
Escalators are located at Plaza Level Gates A, C, E and G. All escalators access the Plaza, Loge, Suite and Terrace Levels. Escalators serve as the primary mode of vertical transportation for fans. Escalators will be activated in the UP position for an extended time during the onset of the Sugar Bowl and will then be reversed late in the game to allow easier egress. We ask that guests practice social distancing on the escalators.

First Aid:
First Aid Stations are located in four convenient locations in the Superdome. All medical personnel are equipped with proper PPE and will adhere to social distancing guidelines as possible.

Food & Beverage:
No food and beverage of any kind may be brought into the facility.

Fan Behavior:
Please be considerate of those seated around you. Behavior that is disruptive to others may result in ejection from the stadium. If someone is sitting in your seat, please contact the nearest usher for assistance. Fans may report unruly behavior by sending a text to 69050 with keyword NOLA followed by the ISSUE and LOCATION. The information will be relayed to stadium security.

Guest Services:

The Guest Services Center is located at Gate B Plaza Level. Guest Services Desks can be found at the following locations:

  • Gates A, C, E, and G on the Plaza Level
  • Gates A, C, E & G on the Loge & 300 Suite Levels
  • Gates C and G on the 400 Suite Level
  • Gates A, C, E & G on the 500 Terrace Level
  • Gates C and G on the 600 Terrace Level

COVID-19:
We have worked closely with local and state officials and ASM Global, the management team for the Caesars Superdome, to develop a comprehensive health and safety plan, which will continue to be updated below. All plans for the 2022 Allstate Sugar Bowl are subject to change.

Vaccination or Negative Test Required:
The City of New Orleans requires all ticket holders, guests and staff ages 12 or above to either 1) provide proof of at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine that has received full approval or emergency use authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization or 2) show evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test taken no more than 72 hours prior to entry.

Presenting Proof of Vaccination/Test:
For entry into the Caesars Superdome:

  • Proof of vaccination. A clear picture of the front and back of the card.
  • Negative PCR or Antigen Test performed within 72 hours of the event. This CANNOT be an at home test. All tests should be from a healthcare professional. The results can be electronic via email. The results must have your name, date of test and a Negative result printed on the healthcare professional document. There are no substitutes for either the vaccine verification or negative test. (COVID treatment DOES NOT count as being immunized)
  • All patrons 12 and older are required to be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID test.

Fans must pass through checkpoints for proof of vaccination/test to enter Tailgate Town in Champions Square, adjacent to the Caesars Superdome.

COVID-19 Testing Timeline
The test sample must be taken within 72 hours of entry into the Caesars Superdome (this window opens on Wednesday, December 29).

Masks Are Not Required:
Due to significant improvement in COVID-19 metrics caused by strong vaccination rates and the City of New Orleans’ vaccine/test mandate for entry, the City of New Orleans has suspended the city-wide mask mandate and fans are no longer required to wear a mask.

Hand Sanitizers:
Touch free hand sanitizer locations will be placed throughout the stadium near concession locations, entrances to restrooms, walkways into the seating sections, restrooms and guest services locations. 

Concession Updates:
The health and safety of our employees and fans is a priority for the New Orleans Saints and the Caesars Superdome. The below updates have been made to the concession areas in the Caesars Superdome:

  • Masks and gloves are required for all staff working concession stands and portable locations.
  • A customer facing barrier will be erected to minimized customer/patron interactions.
  • Hand sanitizers will be at every POS location for patron use.

Staff Safety:
To ensure a safe environment for fans, all Sugar Bowl and stadium personnel will follow the below protocols when interacting with fans:

  • Exercise hand hygiene at all times.
  • Attempt to maintain six-feet distance from fans.
  • Be courteous at all times and strive to keep conversations shorts.
  • Do not physically interact with fans.

To ensure a safe environment for fans, all team and stadium personnel will follow the below protocols when interacting with fans:

  • Be courteous at all times and strive to keep conversations short.

When working in an area that includes high touch points, ensure this area is regularly tended to with disinfectants. These locations include the following:

  • Charging stations
  • Concession stands/condiment areas
  • Door Handles
  • Guest Services desk
  • Escalator Rails
  • Elevator Buttons
  • Restrooms

Fan Health Promise:

All ticketholders must agree that neither they, nor any of their guests, will not attend the game if they have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the game, or, unless they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (as defined by the CDC), any of the following is true on the game date:

  • Within the prior 14 days, they have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or are subject to a federal or local travel or quarantine advisory due to COVID-19;
  • Within the prior 48 hours, they have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms identified by the CDC) (anyone who is fully vaccinated but experiences any of the above symptoms within 48 hours before the game should nevertheless consult a healthcare provider and get tested for COVID-19 before attending).
  • Please note: According to the CDC, older adults and people of any age with serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk of death or severe illness from COVID-19. All guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend a game.

COVID-19 WARNING

YOU MUST FOLLOW ALL FACILITY POLICIES, INCLUDING HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES, AND POSTED INSTRUCTIONS WHILE IN THE FACILITY AND ON FACILITY GROUNDS.

AN INHERENT RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AND ITS VARIANTS EXISTS IN ANY PUBLIC PLACE WHERE PEOPLE ARE PRESENT. COVID-19 IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DISEASE THAT CAN LEAD TO SEVERE ILLNESS AND DEATH. Re-Entry Policy:
A patron may not leave the Caesars Superdome expecting to gain re-admittance.

Restrooms:
The Caesars Superdome has 60 women’s restrooms, 60 men’s restrooms and six family restrooms conveniently located throughout the stadium. Disabled facilities are provided at all restrooms. Please follow all social distancing signs and protocols while using these facilities.

Smoking Policy:
The Caesars Superdome is a non-smoking facility – there are not any smoking areas or gates for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl may revoke this license and eject or refuse entry to the holder for violation of venue rules, illegal activity, misconduct or failure to comply with any and all security measures.  Gym bags, backpacks, oversized packages, cans, bottles, weapons, missiles, fireworks, contraband, video cameras, cameras with a detachable zoom lens, recording devices, laser pointers, artificial noisemakers and containers of any kind are prohibited on Superdome property.

The holder voluntarily assumes all risk associated with the purchase of this ticket from anyone other than the Allstate Sugar Bowl or its designated agents. This ticket may not be used for advertising, promotion (including contests or sweepstakes), or other trade or commercial purposes without the express written consent of the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
