Allstate® Fan Fest
The Allstate® Fan Fest is back for its 12th year to once again serve as the backdrop for pre-game events and celebrations leading up to the 2018 Allstate® Sugar Bowl®. As college football fans descend on New Orleans to see a premiere college football bowl games, the Crescent City will come alive with a mix of interactive activities, highlighted by free New Year’s Eve performances.
Saturday, December 30: 12-6 p.m.
Sunday, December 31: 12 p.m.-12 a.m.
Allstate® Fan Fest will also feature football-themed activities, including an opportunity to kick a field goal into the iconic Allstate “Good Hands®” Field Goal Net, as well as high-energy pep rallies featuring marching bands, mascots and cheerleaders from the participating schools. In addition, the Allstate Combine will give fans an opportunity to participate in football-related drills leading up to the big game.
In addition to celebrating the events that take place on the field, Allstate will help shine a spotlight on the good deeds that take place off the field. Members of the 2017 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, one of the most prestigious community service awards in college sports, will be recognized during halftime of the 2018 Allstate® Sugar Bowl®. For the 10th year, Allstate and members of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® will give back to the local community by hosting a special youth football clinic.
The Allstate® Fan Fest is free to the public and open from 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, and on Sunday, December 31, it will take you straight through the New Year’s Eve celebrations. Fan Fest is located at Jackson Square in the Jax Brewery parking lot off Decatur Street (418 Decatur Street).
Team Pep Rallies – Sunday, December 31
Both schools participating in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl will hold official pep rallies as part of Allstate Fan Fest. Times will be announced in December.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018
Once again, fans will have the opportunity to be a part of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018.” Last year, the iconic annual New Year’s Eve tradition expanded with coverage from New Orleans, Louisiana, in its first-ever Central Time Zone countdown. This year’s live segments will once again include exclusive performances by national recording artists from the Allstate® Fan Fest, where New Orleans locals and tourists gather annually to celebrate the New Year and usher in the annual Allstate® Sugar Bowl®.
Previous headliners for the Allstate® Fan Fest include Usher, Imagine Dragons, Panic! at the Disco, Jason Derulo, Train, Fitz and the Tantrums, O.A.R, FUN., Huey Lewis & the News, Cee-Lo Green, Kelly Clarkson, the Neville Brothers and New Orleans-own Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. Other past performers include Blues Traveler, Darius Rucker, Eddie Money, Gin Blossoms, Lady Antebellum and Lifehouse.
