Allstate® Fan Fest to Kick Off the 2014 Allstate® Sugar Bowl® in New Orleans

Allstate® Fan Fest to Kick Off the 2014 Allstate® Sugar Bowl® in New Orleans park

New Orleans will become even livelier when college football fans descend on Crescent City for the return of the 80th Allstate Sugar Bowl and Allstate® Fan Fest. To celebrate the culmination of the college football season, the Allstate Fan Fest, now in its eighth year, will entertain college football fans and local residents with a variety of fun and interactive activities and concert performances.

In the heart of the French Quarter in Jackson Square (in the Jax Brewery parking lot off Decatur Street), the Allstate Fan Fest will excite fans and build anticipation for one of the premier events in all of college football with school pep rallies, football-themed activities and free musical performances by some of today's most celebrated bands.

Rock sensation Imagine Dragons will headline the festivities on Jan.1, while O.A.R. will help ring in the New Year the night before on Dec. 31. The Imagine Dragons concert will be live streamed for fans across the country on and on Allstate's Facebook page. This year, fans can visit and enter to win the chance to meet Imagine Dragons before they go on stage or, for those who won't be in New Orleans, the chance for a digital hangout with the band.  Fans both on-site and off-site are encouraged to live tweet the Imagine Dragons performance using #AllstateFanFest for the opportunity to be featured on a video screen near the main stage.

Fans of the participating Allstate® Sugar Bowl® teams can also cheer and show their school spirit during high energy pep rallies featuring marching bands, mascots and cheerleaders for the Oklahoma Sooners and Alabama Crimson Tide the day before the game.

At the Allstate® Fan Fest, college football fans can also register for a chance to win an Allstate® Sugar Bowl® fan pack, which includes an autographed helmet from their respective Allstate® Sugar Bowl® teams.  In addition, the Allstate Combine will give aspiring athletes the chance to participate in football-related activities and drills leading up to the big game.

College football will also be celebrated when members of the 2013 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, one of the most prestigious off-the-field honors in college sports, are recognized during a special introduction on the Allstate® Fan Fest main stage and at halftime of the Allstate® Sugar Bowl®. For the sixth consecutive year, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® members will make a positive impact on the New Orleans community and surprise local YMCA children with a special football clinic.

The following activities will highlight this year's Allstate Fan Fest:
