The 76th Annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic will be played Friday, January 1, 2010 in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:30 pm CT and will be televised by FOX Sports.

The deadline for applying for credentials has passed.

Media headquarters will be the Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center which is located in downtown New Orleans at 859 Convention Center Blvd., approximately one mile from the Superdome. All press conferences, except for post-game, will be held at the Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center. Hospitality and work room areas will be provided for appropriate media outlets. The media hotel will have a media workroom with complimentary wireless internet. In addition, wireless internet will be available in individual rooms at a charge of $14.95 per day.

Official press conferences will begin on Sunday, Dec. 27. There will NOT be a morning-after press conference.

Room blocks have been reserved at the Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center for approved members of the media covering the game. Room reservations must be booked online when applying for credentials to receive the discounted media rate ($181, plus 13% for taxes and a $2 per night occupancy tax). There is a three-night minimum stay guarantee for all rooms.

Valet parking is available at the hotel at a rate of $28. A taxi from the airport is approximately $35 and an airport shuttle is also available for $15 each way. A car will NOT be necessary as there will be shuttles to all off-site locations, including the game. The hotel is also located within walking distance to the French Quarter and other attractions. Taxis are plentiful.
