  • Named 1962 SEC Sophomore of the Year and 1964 SEC scoring king, while garnering consensus All-American honors that same year.
  • Played four years of semi-pro ball with the Phillips Sixers in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
  • Five-time Oklahoma Junior College Coach of the year.
  • Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1986.
